What is Ad Radar?
Updated May 2026
Ad Radar shows you the real situation on any keyword: which ads are appearing, where they appear, who sees them, and how often. Instead of pulling data from your own Google Ads account, Ad Radar monitors real search results across the web and shows you who is advertising, what their ads look like, and where they send traffic.
Why this is different from Google Ads reporting
Google Ads only shows you data about your own campaigns. It cannot show you what your competitors, resellers, or affiliates are doing on the same keywords. Ad Radar fills that gap by observing actual search results the same way a real searcher would, then organizing what it finds into a clear breakdown of who is winning visibility and how.
This makes Ad Radar useful for two related purposes: understanding your competitive landscape on any keyword, and spotting the same kind of unauthorized brand activity that adment's core Ad Hijackers and Brand Bidders tabs detect, but viewed from a market share perspective instead of a violation list.
How Ad Radar is organized
Ad Radar works as a five-step drill-down. Each section narrows the view based on what you select in the section before it.
1. Keyword popularity over time
Start by reviewing the keywords related to your brand or topic of interest. The table on the left shows each keyword along with two metrics: Ad market share, the percentage of all observed ad appearances attributed to that keyword, and Unique Ads, the number of distinct ads shown for it. Each table has its own filters, so set the date range, country and search engine on the table you are looking at. Click a keyword in the table to see its ad market share trend over time in the chart on the right.
2. Brands by ad visibility
Once you select a keyword, this section shows every brand and advertiser running ads on it, ranked by ad market share. This is where competitive and unauthorized activity becomes visible at a glance. You will see your own brand alongside competitors, resellers, and in some cases entities bidding on your brand name without authorization, similar to what appears in the Ad Hijackers and Brand Bidders tabs. The percentage breakdown shows exactly how much of the visibility each advertiser is capturing.
3. Landing pages by visibility
Select a brand from the previous section to see every landing page that advertiser is using. This reveals the specific URLs and regional or campaign variations they are running, useful for understanding how an advertiser structures their campaigns across markets and offers.
4. Ad content by visibility
Select a domain to see the actual ad headlines and copy being used, ranked by market share. This shows you exactly what messaging is winning the most visibility for that advertiser, including regional and language variations.
5. Ad details
Click any individual ad to see its full details: the destination URL, description text, brand, advertiser name, search engine, and country. This is the most granular view available, showing exactly what a real user would have seen in search results.
A note on the Beta label
Ad Radar is currently in Beta. Coverage and features are actively expanding. If you notice gaps in keyword coverage or have feedback on what would make the tool more useful, reach out to support@adment.ai.
