What does each status mean?

Updated May 2026

Every detection in the Ad Hijackers and Brand Bidders tabs has a status that reflects where it is in your review and resolution process. Keeping statuses up to date helps your team stay organized and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.

New

The default status for every detection when it first appears. New means the violation has been detected but not yet reviewed by anyone on your team. Your New queue is the main place to check for fresh activity that needs attention.

In Progress

Use In Progress when someone on your team is actively investigating or taking action on a case. Moving a detection to In Progress signals to the rest of the team that it is being handled and prevents duplicate work. Update the status to In Progress as soon as you start working on a case.

Solved

Use Solved when a violation has been fully resolved. This could mean the affiliate was removed from your program, the affiliate took action, the unauthorized ad stopped running, or you have otherwise closed the case. Solved detections are removed from your active queue but remain in your account history under the All tab.

Muted

Muted is different from the other statuses. Rather than reflecting the state of your investigation, Muted tells adment to stop surfacing new detections from a specific advertiser in your New queue. adment continues to monitor and record activity from that advertiser, but it will not appear as a new item requiring your attention.

Use Muted for advertisers you have reviewed and decided not to act on, or for known low-priority activity you want to track passively without it cluttering your active queue. You can unmute an advertiser at any time by opening their case and toggling Mute activity off.

How to change a status

Open any case by clicking on it in the detection table. Click the Status field to open the dropdown and select the new status. Changes are saved immediately. There is no bulk status update. Cases must be updated one at a time.
